Alain
Van Zeveren is a Belgian music composer/arranger/producer/musician
with more than twentyfive years of experience, playing,
producing, arranging and composing for theater, motion
picture and television.
The projects he composed for gained
him a strong reputation as a music composer in Belgium and
the Netherlands. Born in 1963, he studied music at the Royal
Music Academy and Music Conservatory in Gent. After
finishing his studies, he concentrates mainly on jazz music,
and plays with some legendary jazz muscicians such as Dave
Pike and Toots Thielemans. After touring the world twice on
the Russian cruiseship "Alexander Pushkin" for twelve months
as a pianoplayer, he gets into "pop" and session work as a
keyboardplayer. Later he joins the pop-rock band
The Radios
('90 - '96). They receive four golden and three platinum
records for the sale of their four full CD's. After the
Radios he focusses mainly on composing, arranging and
producing of music for TV, film & theater. His first theater
compositions are
"Vermist"
and "De
getuige", both authored by Knarf Van Pellecom. Between '95 and '96
he writes the orchestral soundtrack for the 26-episode TV
series
"Ons
geluk",
a scenario of Paul Koeck based on the works of Gerard
Walschap.
In 1996 he receives a Zamu-award for best
filmmusic. In '99 he writes the soundtrack for the motion
picture "Missing
link",
(Ger Poppelaars). The picture was shown in Cannes on the "
Palme d'Or
Festival", and
was nominated in Germany for the "Berliner Filmfestival
award". Music for other TV-series;

"Deman"
(x13). He writes the score for several
documentaries and
publicity-clips.
2001; Theatershow
"Lustobject"
with Els de Schepper. In 2002 he composes
"Alladin
the musical".
"Alladin" turns out succesfull, and tours in the Netherlands
((+/-) 100 shows). Late 2002 Alain arranges for
"De
Kleine Prins", directed by Franz Marijnen. Eversince he composed for other
"Marijnen-directions" such as;

musician and/or producer/arranger he worked on over a
hundred full CD's.
